Description |
Acetaldehyde is an intermediate metabolite in the catabolism of ethanol. It is rapidly metabolized and rarely accumulates in levels sufficient for detection. It is found as a flavoring in several food products. It is a waste product from Candida Albicans and often found in postmortem specimens. |
